SOS Aegis Privacy Policy

SOS Technologies ("we", "us", "our") operates the SOS Aegis mobile application. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Information We Collect

• Account information — Email address and name provided during registration or invitation.
• Location data — When you trigger a security alert, your device location is collected to assist emergency response. Location is only captured at the moment of alert activation and is not tracked continuously.
• Push notification tokens — Device tokens are registered with our notification service to deliver security alerts. Tokens are associated with your account and organization.
• Usage data — Basic app interaction data (login events, alert activations) for operational reliability.

How We Use Your Information

• Deliver real-time security alerts (Active Threat, All Clear, Mobile Security) to your device.
• Associate your alert with the correct organization and site for emergency coordination.
• Provide alert history for your organization.
• Maintain and improve the reliability of the service.

Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Your data may be shared with:

• Your organization's administrators — Site administrators can see alert activity and user membership for their organization.
• Service providers — AWS (hosting, notifications), Firebase (push delivery). These providers process data on our behalf under contractual obligations.
• Law enforcement — When required by law or in response to a valid legal process.

Data Security

All data is transmitted over TLS encryption. Authentication tokens are stored securely on-device. Server-side data is hosted in AWS GovCloud with encryption at rest. Access to personal data is restricted by role-based access controls.

Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. Alert history is retained per your organization's data retention policy. Push notification tokens are removed when you log out or uninstall the app.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting your organization administrator or by emailing us at the address below.

Children's Privacy

SOS Aegis is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at this URL with an updated revision date.
